We're a small team of makers who fell for solargraphy the same way most people do — by accident, after forgetting a pinhole can on a windowsill for a season and finding a sun trail burned into the paper when we finally opened it. SollyTrolly grew out of the notes we kept scribbling on scraps just to remember which can was which.
Our mission is simple: give this patient, analog art form a companion worthy of its pace. Not a camera, not a filter, not another feed to scroll — just a calm notebook that remembers the placement, the direction, the start date, and every check-in, so the only thing you have to think about is the light.
Inside the app, every can gets its own living story. You can aim a new exposure against a hand-drawn sky before you mount it, slide through months of accumulated light to watch an image build, sort finished work into collections, and count down to the next solstice the way solargraphers have for as long as the craft has existed.

SollyTrolly was built as a private notebook for your solargraphy practice — the cans you've placed, the notes you've taken, the images you eventually develop. We wrote this policy to say, in plain terms, that none of it is ours to collect.
We collect nothing. SollyTrolly does not ask for your name, email, location, photos, or any personal identifier to function. Every exposure log, can placement, note, and countdown you create stays exactly where you made it — on your device.
Because no information is transmitted to us, there is nothing for us to use, analyze, profile, or monetize. We do not build usage statistics, we do not run advertising, and we never sell or share data — there simply isn't any data of yours to share.
Your exposure journal, can notes, photos of developed solargraphs, and collections are stored locally within the app on your own device. There is no cloud account, no remote database, and no server-side backup maintained by SollyTrolly.
SollyTrolly does not integrate third-party analytics, advertising networks, or tracking software of any kind. The app does not communicate with external servers to log, sync, or report your activity.
Because your records never leave your device, the strongest safeguard is simply that there is no transmission path for them to be intercepted on. We design the app to operate entirely offline for all core journaling and image-viewing features.
SollyTrolly does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13, because it does not collect personal information from any user at all. The app contains no chat, social, or data-submission features of any kind.
There are no accounts to manage and nothing stored on our end to request or delete. If you wish to remove your exposure history, notes, or collections, simply delete individual entries within the app or uninstall the app itself — either action fully removes the associated local data.
Should our practices ever change, we will update this policy and revise the Effective Date above. We encourage checking back occasionally, though our intent — a fully local, data-free app — is not one we expect to change.
